LONGWOOD, Fla. (July 8, 2022) – Insurance Office of America (IOA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Andy Lott to the role of regional president for its central region. Andy has served as a producer and managing partner for IOA and replaces his father, Ricky Lott, who has held the regional president position since 2013.
Today’s announcement demonstrates not only the strength of IOA’s thoughtful succession plans but also its depth of talent. “At IOA, we embrace intentional long-term succession planning. As a generational company, we benefit from not only Ricky’s many important and lasting contributions but also having Andy ascend in leadership, which positions us well for the future,” said IOA President Jeff Lagos.
Andy has nearly two decades of insurance experience specializing in risk management and risk transfer solutions for couriers, entertainment and production, manufacturing and distribution as well as nonprofit organizations. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama.
“I want to express my gratitude to the leadership for their support, and I’m humbled and honored to take on this new role and to continue serving the central region,” said Andy. “IOA has a strong track record of dedication to its team members and partners, and I look forward to working with my fellow regional presidents as we focus on our clients’ risk management needs so they can focus on their business goals.”
Ricky and Andy opened the company’s Birmingham, Alabama, location in 2005 with a powerhouse team of professionals. The team created a process for entertainment industry insurance, which has since been replicated industrywide. In 2018, Ricky was inducted into Insurance Business America (IBA) magazine’s coveted Hall of Fame, which spotlights insurance power players and innovators who have shaped the industry for more than 35 years. Ricky will continue to work with his clients and will remain on the IOA Board of Directors.
