LONGWOOD, Florida, July 18, 2016 – Insurance Office of America (IOA) has been ranked one of the largest insurance agencies on Business Insurance’s 100 Largest Brokers of U.S. Business List. IOA currently holds the 25th position on this year’s list, moving up two positions from the prior year.
Mergers and acquisitions in the prior year contributed to some of the more familiar names leaving the list as a result of becoming part of a larger organization, according to Business Insurance.
IOA continues to grow with acquisitions as well. The current ranking does not include its acquisition of Eagle American Insurance Agency earlier this year. Eagle American specializes in personal lines and select business insurance solutions. With revenue projected to exceed $20 million in 2016 and over 160 employees in 22 locations around the U.S., Eagle has an extensive carrier and broker network that will provide the foundation for significant growth and expansion going forward.
“The acquisition of the Eagle American coupled with the existing IOA commercial brokerage enterprise enables IOA to bring a seamless client solution and experience to the marketplace,” says Heath Ritenour, CEO of Insurance Office of America. “By combining the people of Eagle with our existing IOA team, we will bring a formidable, client-centric team to the communities we serve.”
Insurance Office of America (IOA) is a full-service insurance agency founded in 1988 and is one of the fastest-growing independent agencies in the United States. IOA is ranked 13th on Insurance Journal’s 2016 Top 100 Independent Property/Casualty Agencies report, and it is ranked 25th on Business Insurance’s 100 Largest Brokers of U.S. Business List. Headquartered in Longwood, Florida, part of the greater Orlando community, IOA has over 50 branch offices in the U.S., and an international office in London. With more than 1,000 associates, IOA specializes in providing insurance solutions for businesses in many diverse industries.
