John Woods, SVP and Chief Information Officer
LONGWOOD, Fla. (October 30, 2023) – Insurance Office of America (IOA) is pleased to announce that John Woods has been named senior vice president and chief information officer. In his role, John will oversee enterprisewide information technology (IT) strategy and operations for the organization, including collaboration across the business to utilize data and insights to drive optimal performance and outcomes.
“In his four years at IOA, John has created change for the better,” said IOA Group Chairman and CEO Heath Ritenour. “From setting the foundation for success ahead of the COVID-19 pandemic to enabling the deployment of our hybrid work model, he’s played a critical operational role at a time when we needed it most. John’s knowledge, professionalism, and vision have transformed our use of technology, and I see that continuing for the foreseeable future under his leadership.”
John joined IOA in 2019 as head of information security and was promoted to vice president of enterprise systems in 2020. Before joining IOA, John held roles of increasing responsibility and leadership across IT operations and cybersecurity for organizations such EY UK, part of Ernst & Young Global Limited, and Liberty Insurance Ireland, part of Liberty Mutual insurance Group.

John earned his advanced diploma in management practice from Ulster University. He holds the certified information security manager (CISM) certification.
