COLUMBIA, S.C. (August 30, 2018) – Insurance Office of America (IOA) continues to grow with the addition of industry veteran Karl Long to its team in South Carolina. Karl joins the expanding office as a senior broker and risk consultant.
With over 25 years of industry experience, Karl enjoys a proven track record of success helping clients in the areas of construction, property management, social services, and technology as well as many other business sectors. He has earned the chartered property and casualty underwriter (CPCU), associate in risk management (ARM), associate in reinsurance (ARe), and associate in claims (AIC) professional designations. Prior to joining IOA, Karl worked for several years with other regional, national, and global insurance services firms.

A native of Columbia, South Carolina, Karl earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina. He is a decorated veteran having served for over 10 years in the South Carolina Air National Guard where he was called to active duty by the Air Force in the Persian Gulf War. During his service he earned the Airman’s Medal for Valor and several campaign ribbons.
