LONGWOOD, Fla. (Dec. 3, 2018) – Insurance Office of America (IOA) today announces that Regional President Richard (Ricky) Lott has been inducted into Insurance Business America (IBA) magazine’s coveted Hall of Fame for 2018. The list spotlights insurance power players and innovators who have shaped the industry for more than 35 years.
Ricky is one of 29 inductees who have propelled the insurance industry forward over the course of their careers. He stands out among the other titans and pioneers as a strong advocate for the industry’s growth and success. A champion for those new to the business, Ricky has a passion and proficiency for bringing young people into the insurance industry.
Currently a regional president and a member of IOA’s board of directors, Ricky opened the company’s Birmingham, Alabama, location in 2005. As the office grew, Ricky’s team created a process for the entertainment industry, in particular television, where third-party production companies can secure insurance through the network for shows—like a wrap-up for entertainment—which has been replicated industrywide.
“I measure success not only from a production standpoint but also from a position of growing spiritually and building better relationships with those around me. We want our team to have freedom and a fulfilled life,” said Ricky. “IOA has supported this belief from the very beginning when John and Valli Ritenour started the company. I’m honored to be a part of their amazing story.”
“We’re incredibly proud of Ricky’s accomplishments and are honored to have him represent IOA as our first team member to be named to the Insurance Business America Hall of Fame,” said Heath Ritenour, CEO of Insurance Office of America. “Ricky’s unwavering dedication to those around him coupled with his innovative thinking make him a pillar of the industry.”
IBA magazine provides a unique offering in the insurance space as an aspirational business magazine featuring a series of industry reports that recognize the achievements of key individuals and businesses as well as providing the latest in business best practices in a continually evolving industry.
