Ben Shahinian joined Insurance Office of America (IOA) in August 2016 as a commercial insurance producer specializing in construction, retail, and workers compensation insurance. He primarily represents middle-market construction companies, trade contractors, manufacturing companies, and bakeries—helping to create a safer work environment while closing claims faster and lowering insurance premiums. Ben offers a hands-on approach to his clients, guiding them through renewals, loss control, audits, safety courses, claims reviews, stewardship reports, and more, to offer a comprehensive strategy geared towards impact resolution and business success.

Prior to joining IOA, Ben spent nearly a decade as an insurance claims adjuster, recognizing the devastating effects businesses experience when risks haven’t been adequately covered. He understands that proper risk management can have a major impact on a business and the personal lives of business owners and their employees. Rather than be reactive to these results, Ben seeks to assist business owners with a clear picture of their goals, including protecting wealth, assets, and employees. He works tirelessly to develop holistic strategic plans to address potential risks and threats and identify the right insurance carrier to help accomplish the determined goals and objectives.

Ben earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Florida. He is a licensed property and casualty insurance agent and holds designations as a professional workers compensation advisor (PWCA) and associate in claims (AIC).
