Amy Leonard joined Insurance Office of America in 2004. Amy has over 16 years of experience in human resources and employee benefits working with accounts of various sizes and industries.

Working with nationwide employers, Amy has gained a strong knowledge of employment trends and best practices to help clients develop a health management strategy that balances the requirements of the Patience Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) while meeting multigenerational workforce needs. She has extensive experience working with fully insured and self-insured plans and has a passion for helping employees and their families fully understand their benefit program options.

Currently, Amy serves on the IOA Employee Benefits Services National Advisory Council. This council is comprised of IOA’s top consultants who proactively lead the department in making decisions regarding services and resources. Additionally, Amy is the National RiskScore Lead. RiskScore is IOA’s proprietary risk assessment and planning process that focuses on core disciplines that ultimately impact the health management strategy and employee experience.

As the client’s advocate, Amy’s primary responsibility is to manage the ficial and underwriting aspects of each account. She is responsible for the overall relationship and ensuring that the scope of services has been delivered effectively. Amy’s expertise consists of contract analysis, multiple funding arrangements, advising on industry trends, and proactively maintaining compliance standards. Amy is a graduate of the University of Florida, where she received her bachelor’s degree in human resources development with a minor in organizational leadership.

On a personal note:

Amy has been married to her high school sweetheart since 2002. They have three children and an Airedale terrier together. As a family, they enjoying watching any Florida Gators sport and spending time at the beach.
