Darren Funk joined Insurance Office of America (IOA) in February 2013 as a commercial lines insurance producer and risk management advisor. As a trusted property and casualty insurance broker, Darren’s expertise has served regional, national, and international clients that include not-for-profit, private, and public traded enterprise.

Darren has nearly two decades of experience in the risk management, insurance, and investment brokerage industry. He manages P&C insurance placements exclusively for commercial enterprise. His expertise is applied to general industry, but focus includes aviation, construction, energy, manufacturing, and professional service.

Prior to joining IOA, Darren worked at a large full service insurance brokerage in the Intermountain West, American International Group (AIG) along with other national and regional P&C insurance carriers.

Darren earned his Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the University of Utah. He holds the certified risk manager (CRM) and certified insurance counselor (CIC) designations. He also is a proud member of the Eagle Scout Alumni Association—Boy Scouts of America and local scout troop, Professional Liability Underwriting Society, and Kappa Omicron Nu Honor Society.
