About Larry
Larry DePalma joined Insurance Office of America (IOA) in August 2010 as a commercial insurance producer specializing in the industries of construction, environmental and waste management, and manufacturing. He focuses on putting clients first in an effort to retain clients while also providing services that lower their direct and indirect insurance costs by reducing the frequency and severity of claims.
With more than three decades of experience in the insurance sector, Larry prioritizes his duty to fairly represent his clients among insurance carriers and always seeks the best possible coverage for their ever-changing operational needs. Through contracting surety bonds, Larry assists his clients in preparing submissions to obtain the desired line of bonding, while fully explaining the coverage options and relative merits of each quote presented by the insurance carriers.
Larry began his insurance career by writing insurance and surety bonds for several environmental contractors. He recognizes that environmental accounts have always required careful attention since policies are not standardized. While his specialty is property and casualty insurance, Larry insures a wide variety of clients spanning multiple industries. He has written site-specific insurance covering the contingent and direct environmental liability of many New York and New Jersey banks during his career and helped to insure over 1,600 sites for environmental liability.
Larry earned his bachelor’s degree from Seton Hall University. He holds a construction risk insurance specialist (CRIS) designation as well as insurance licenses for life, health, accident, surplus lines, and property and casualty.
