Larry McLean

Larry McLean came to Insurance Office of America (IOA) in 2016, where he quickly more than doubled his book of business by watching and learning from other top performers who welcomed him into the IOA culture and family. Larry’s more than three-decade journey in the insurance sector drives him to help people reach and exceed their goals. He is now managing partner and helps oversee IOA’s largest central Florida region, and he firmly believes that insurance is an incredible business if you’re willing to put in the effort.

Larry began his insurance career in Orlando in 1992, and within a few years, he had started his own insurance agency. He has been ranked Top 5 on FAIA’s Producer of the Year list and was ranked 13th in the country for new business with Zurich Insurance Small Construction. After a merger with Sihle in 2005, Larry continued his rise in the industry and helped the agency earn several prestigious awards.

Within two years of his move to IOA, Larry had been named partner. In 2017, he was recognized as IOA’s Risk Services Partner of the Year, and in 2020, he was recognized as Partner of the Year, IOA’s most coveted internal production award. Being at IOA has given Larry the platform to give back and help IOA continue to prosper and outperform the industry through organic growth.

Larry is a licensed insurance agent in property and casualty as well as accident, health, life, variable life, and variable annuities. His licenses include the 2-14, 2-15, 2-16, 2-18, 2-20, and 2-40 appointments. Larry is also a member of the board of advisors for Cogent Bank.
