Matthew Williamson

Matthew is an owner/stockholder of Insurance Office of America (IOA) specializing in the fully insured and self-funded benefit platforms for employers of all sizes. Matt has been with IOA for the past 11 years and in the insurance industry for the past 22 years. Serving as VP of Benefits and PEO, Matt has been instrumental in IOA’s success and has helped IOA become the largest privately owned insurance agency in Florida and 10th in the country. He serves on many boards, including IOA’s Benefits Advisory Board, and serves as a delegate to The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers (CIAB) on behalf of IOA.  The Council position is invite-only and based on relationships and production in the marketplace. Less than one percent of all brokers are invited.

It is through the relationship process that Matt shows his strength, serving as a liaison to the carriers dealing with contract negotiations, He has received a designation that certifies him as a Health Care Reform Specialist through Employer’s Health Forum. Only a handful of brokers in the country carry this designation.

Prior to joining IOA, Matt was on the carrier side working for Shenandoah Life as regional manager and for Reliance Standard. He has his 2-15 and 2-20 license and manages a block of business approximately worth one million in revenue.

Matt’s relationships with clients and carriers are his strong suite and allow IOA to be one of the most respected agencies in the country. He manages these relationships through his business efforts and serving on many carrier advisory boards.
