Michael Turner
Managing PartnerMichael Turner received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1987 in Political Science with an emphasis in International Relations as well as Economics. In 1992, he earned the designation of Associate in Risk Management.
He began his insurance career in 1988 with Industrial Indemnity as a worker’s compensation claims examiner and eventually moved into underwriting. He joined Johnson and Higgins in June 1990 as a large risk monoline property broker with particular emphasis on Manufacturers and highly protected risks. In January 1999, he and three partners created Corbis (Core Business Insurance Services), a wholly minority owned national commercial insurance brokerage catering to Fortune 1000, minority owned and public entity business’. In April, 2000, Michael joined Aon Risk Services as a sales professional. In January, 2005 he moved to Jardine Lloyd Thompson as they reentered the domestic retail insurance marketplace. He functioned as a sales professional focused on Fortune 1000 risks. In March 2007, JLT was acquired by Alliant Insurance Services where he specialized in construction industry risk management. In January, 2010 he joined MiNT United as a principal, Nevada managing executive and producer. In October 2013, Michael joined IOA to develop the Las Vegas market, specializing in construction industry risk management, transportation and hospitality risks.
Michael holds the associate in risk management (ARM) designation, and the Nevada resident property, casualty and surety license. Michael has non-resident licenses in California, Tennessee, Arizona, Utah, Michigan, Ohio, Florida and South Carolina.
