Rayma Cathey

Rayma Cathey joined Insurance Office of America (IOA) in 2022 as a commercial insurance agent. As a veteran commercial insurance professional for more than two decades, Rayma is responsible for sales, risk analysis, claims mitigation, and advocacy for IOA Insurance Services in California, while also managing alternative risk financing through captive insurance companies.

Prior to her insurance career, Rayma and her husband owned a precision sheet metal shop where she oversaw the company’s insurance. This small business insight helped shape her understanding of the effects that insurance costs can have on the bottom line. She later began her professional insurance career at a property and casualty insurance company, spending two years opening and operating a petroleum-based insurance program on the west coast before returning to the broker side as an independent agent.

Rayma’s goal has always been to significantly reduce her clients’ cost of insurance without compromising on coverage. She encourages her clients to mitigate risk by helping them formulate advanced risk management planning. She specializes in the transportation industry but maintains clients across all business verticals.
