Jeffrey “Jeff” McConnell joined Insurance Office of America in 2012 as a commercial insurance producer, where risk avoidance is central to his approach. He is now a senior vice president and partner at IOA with more than two decades of experience in providing comprehensive and customized solutions for complex and detailed accounts in various industries, such as logistics, technology, manufacturing, distribution, and construction.

Jeff’s expertise in coverage analysis and development, contract review, business interruption analysis, safety and HR training, workers compensation claims management, and lowering the total cost of risk enables him to identify and mitigate the hidden risks and liabilities that his clients face. It also provides an opportunity to deliver optimal outcomes for their business objectives. Jeff is passionate about helping clients navigate the complex and dynamic insurance landscape and building long-term relationships based on trust, integrity, and value.

Prior to coming to IOA, Jeff worked as a software systems analyst for two years before beginning his insurance career in 1987. He eventually became the managing partner and co-owner of The Leavitt Group of Atlanta. LGA was a multiyear winner of the Agency Excellence Award, presented to the top agencies nationwide of The Leavitt Group for profitability, growth and operational proficiency. Jeff was also a recipient of the Circle of Excellence Award for business production.

Jeff earned his bachelor’s degree in management information systems from the University of Georgia. He holds the certified insurance counselor (CIC) and certified risk management professional (CRMP) designations. Jeff serves as a board member of the Southeastern Warehouse Association, sharing insights and best practices on insurance and risk management issues affecting the warehousing and logistics sector.
