Charles “Chad” Dorsey, CIC, CRIS
LONGWOOD, Fla. (March 31, 2022) – Insurance Office of America (IOA) is pleased to announce that insurance industry veteran Charles “Chad” Dorsey, CIC, CRIS, has joined its team in Jupiter, Florida, as a commercial lines agent. Chad will focus primarily on enhancing an already robust hospitality team in the South Florida region.
“We are thrilled to welcome a producer of Chad’s experience to the IOA family. His extensive knowledge of the hospitality space further bolsters our ability to serve our clients well,” said IOA Chairman and CEO Heath Ritenour. “Additionally, he joins two family members, which culturally is very special for a generational company like IOA. It’s a great match, and I look forward to all that we will accomplish together.”
A fourth generation insurance agent, Chad comes to IOA with nearly two decades of experience in the insurance industry, most recently as a senior vice president with a Top 10 insurance brokerage, where he initially managed the personal lines operations and portfolios before focusing on hospitality and overseeing a vacation resort specialty division in Palm Beach, Florida. His steadfast work ethic allowed him to establish strong relationships with legacy resort operators in South Florida, eventually growing the hospitality portfolio to more than 50 resort properties nationwide.

Chad joins his father, Ray Dorsey, and his brother, Jed Dorsey, in overseeing their clients’ insurance programs, providing competitive insurance products and risk management solutions. This special family tradition dates back to Chad’s great-grandfather in the 1920s, which makes the relationships of this new team some of the deepest and most unique in the industry.
Chad earned his bachelor’s degree in communications from Mississippi College. He also holds the certified insurance counselor (CIC) and construction risk insurance specialist (CRIS) designations.
