Landon Smith joined Insurance Office of America in August 2017 as a commercial insurance producer. He is part of IOA’s construction practice that specializes in strategic risk placement. His team focuses on large construction and development, primarily for the East Coast, working with some of the largest general contractors and developers in the country. Their team has placed insurance coverage for projects such as the Statue of Liberty renovation, The Villages Development in Orlando, Six Flags, and the Pro Football Hall of Fame Village in Canton, OH. Landon is also the managing partner of LRS Ventures Development.

The construction practice team has designed risk platforms for their clients that are unique to the industry and have been a valued partner to IOA’s substantial growth. Their model of client service includes full engagement throughout the project, ensuring that contract design, coverage placement, and claims management are all aligned with IOA’s values. The team has developed long-lasting partnerships with construction experts, law firms, and consultants who are valued influencers.

Landon earned his Master of Science in Business Administration from Florida State University, and he holds the construction risk insurance specialist (CRIS) designation. Landon also presents and provides content to attorney groups such as the American Bar Association, Charleston Bar Association, Construction Institute, and The Seminar Group in Florida.
