Matt Engle joined Insurance Office of America (IOA) in February 2019 as a commercial property and casualty insurance broker. With nearly two decades of insurance experience, Matt has a broad background working in the construction, hospitality, nonprofit, and cannabis industries.

Prior to moving into the insurance sector, Matt had a 12-year career in the wire and cable industry, split between regional distribution leadership roles, and as a low voltage cabling contractor. His roles included securing contracts by estimating and consulting with general contractors, casinos, nonprofit organizations, and healthcare operations. Matt was typically accountable for profitability performance of business units generating over $50 Million in annual revenue. This experience has helped Matt work with his clients on strategies to improve their ficials and be more attractive to bonding companies.

Matt earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), and is a graduate of the Leadership Las Vegas program through the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce. In 2021, Matt was awarded the Risk & Insurance Power Broker award in the nonprofit category for his continued expertise in helping organizations with their insurance and risk management programs. Perhaps the most coveted honor Matt has received was in 2022, when he became UNLV’s 47th “Outstanding Alumnus of the Year” for his dedication to serving the university in a variety of volunteer efforts. Matt is a past president of the UNLV Alumni Association, where he launched the Rebel Business Network in 2012.
