Rob McEwen joined Insurance Office of America in April of 2021 as a Commercial Insurance Producer in the firm’s Charleston, SC office. He began his insurance career in 2012 and joined IOA after seven years with another global brokerage firm. Rob specializes in providing insurance and risk management solutions for real estate and construction clients.

Rob advises property owners, developers, and contractors on complex insurance placements, contractual risk transfer, and coverage structures designed to support both individual projects and portfolio-level risk. His focus is on aligning insurance programs with contractual obligations, lender requirements, and the practical realities of construction and real estate operations.

In January 2026, Rob was appointed Managing Partner of the Charleston branch, where he oversees strategic growth and producer development while continuing to serve his clients.

Rob earned his bachelor’s degree in History and a minor in Business Administration from Presbyterian College.
