Heyward Burnet, IV, joined Insurance Office of America in August 2007 as a commercial lines insurance producer. He was promoted to managing partner in 2013 and named a regional president over the north Florida region, which includes Jacksonville, Ocala, and Ormond Beach, in 2023. Heyward is a risk advocate specializing in workers compensation best practices for hiring, onboarding, safety culture development, and claims management.

Heyward has been a safety and risk management innovator for more than a decade. In 2018, he became one of the first recipients of the IOA President’s Club award, which recognizes producers who place more than $100,000 in new revenue in a given year.

Heyward earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance and financial management services from Georgia Southern University.
