Josh Sprague joined Insurance Office of America (IOA) in December 2021 as a commercial lines risk management consultant after spending over a decade in the industry as an associate at a top Florida insurance firm. With over 15 years of insurance and risk management expertise, Josh is keenly focused on the construction and real estate industries, including general contractors, specialty trade contractors, material suppliers, design professionals, and engineers, as well as real estate owners and developers at each stage of their investments. His time is spent driving down costs through strategic initiatives for his clients, which have resulted in tens of millions of dollars in cost savings over time.

Josh is an expert in reducing the frequency and severity of claims as well as how they may impact the client’s experience modification factor in the future. As a student of the business, Josh has a rigorous pursuit of fair and affordable terms for his clients. He believes the details matter and plays the “what if” situation through before binding any insurance program, ensuring his clients are adequately protected.

Prior to his time in the industry, Josh gained firsthand experience while working for his family’s commercial contracting business in his hometown of Bradenton, Florida. Spending many long summers and after school hours on jobsites.

Josh earned his Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Florida State University, and he holds the Florida 2-20 property and casualty and 2-15 life, health, and variable annuity licenses.
