Peter de Boisblanc joined Insurance Office of America (IOA) in October 2026 and leads the Transactional Liability team, specializing in representations and warranties, tax, contingent, and related insurance solutions.

With more than a decade of experience in the transactional liability market, Peter advises buyers and sellers on insurance solutions for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and related transactions. He works with private capital and corporate clients to navigate complex transactional risks and structure coverage aligned with the needs of each deal.

Peter brings a unique perspective developed across multiple sides of the transactional liability market. Prior to joining IOA, he held leadership roles with national and specialty insurance brokerage firms, where he led transactional liability practices in the U.S. and North America. His experience also includes serving as a senior member of a global insurer’s M&A team, where he underwrote more than 150 transactional liability policies.

Peter also brings significant legal experience to his work with clients. He previously served as a transactional liability resource at a leading global law firm, advising private capital clients on the placement and negotiation of transactional liability policies. Before entering the transactional liability insurance industry, Peter practiced law for more than 10 years at large global law firms.
